#MythologyMonday: Kaupe (Scion)

According to Hawai'ian Myth, Kaupe is a ghost that appears as a huge man with a canine head and sharp claws. He mimics the sound of wounded or dying people to lure prey out so he can kill and eat them.

Legend says he was once ruler of Nuuanu Valley, but he is most often found now under or near the Kipapa Bridge, both on Oahu.
