KnightRaven and Squire
For thousands of years the Order of the Raven has protected Britain from evil, under the (supposed) command of the still living head of Bran the Blessed somewhere beneath the Tower of London. They choose a champion each generation, the Knight of the Raven, or Knight Raven, and train and equip them to the peak of human ability. Then they are initiated, made the Knight, imbued with a connection to their Raven Squire.
The current KnightRaven is a 42 year old man of mixed Celtic and Anglo-Saxon ancestry named Brandon Brennan. Before he was officially recruited, he spent 22 years in the Royal Marines, being carefully guided and trained for his later role. He became part of the 42 Commando, then was selected for the Special Boat Service, where he served with distinction. When he mustered out, he applied to become part of the Yeoman Warders of the Tower of London. He was accepted, and assigned as an assistant to the Ravenmaster...who secretly conveys the instructions of the Head of Bran to the Order. Brandon was inducted into the Yeoman Guard, but he serves, instead, as the covert arm of the Order of the Raven, protecting Britain from all manner of evils and dangers.
KnightRaven is one of the most capable martial artists in the world, with state of the art body armor. He can focus his spirit to strike spiritual beings, to hit harder and bypass armor, or to stun his targets, and he can also speak to and understand all corvids, especially his familiar Squire. He's been the Knight Raven for 4 years now, and is about 44 years old.
