Thunderbird. Protector of the People
There have been many Thunderbirds. There will be many more. The warrior known as Thunderbird is chosen as the Protector of the People of the World, especially what is now called North America, by the spirit of the true Thunderbird, and granted its powers.
The current Thunderbird is a young man from Tahlequah, Oklahoma, of mixed Osage and Tsalagi descent. His mother is Tsalagi, and he is of the Anitsisqua, or Bird, Clan. He is named Charles Wohali Walker.
Charles grew up in Tahlequah, and became part of emergency services there as an EMT. During one particular emergency response, he was struck by lightning while saving a little girl from a downed power wire during a thunderstorm. His courage and kindness had attracted the attention of Thunderbird. Ever since that day, he has traveled all over North America, protecting people and saving lives, especially in the rural areas where no other heroes go.
