Description: Saevios is red haired, as befits a storm god, armored in bright silver lorica squamata. His hair and beard are shot with silver, and his eyes are storm blue, with lightning flickering deep within. Atop his head, his helm is covered with a bearskin, fangs framing his face, the fur trailing down his back as a cloak. Tall boots, fur lined, cover his feet, and leather breeches like those of a barbarian sheath his legs. Under the armor, his chest and arms are bare. In his right hand, he carries the Omnitelus, also known as the Rod of Lordly Might, a shape shifting weapon made for him by the goddess of the forge and her dwarven helpers. It most often takes the form of a heavy double bladed axe (but acts as a deific version of the javelin of lightning, as well as returning) or a heavy throwing hammer or javelin.

4 Winds serve him, each lord or lady of a direction and a season.

History: First of the gods, he formed the others much by accident, when he slammed his hands together in anger and frustration at the quiet emptiness. At creation, he was involved in a huge battle with Invidia, in which he slew that demonic dragon thing and tore her apart. Where her blood spattered monsters rise. He tossed her remains into the Abyss, where Interitus was born from them.Interitus then crafted his own children from some of what was left. Saevios has protected the world from Invidia's spawn, both monstrous and deific, ever since. He also inspired the rise of Rega, and sired several of its greatest heroes.

Relationships: Husband to Caela, he has frequent dalliances with mortals, which she does not mind, as she has the same freedom, but rarely indulges. All the other gods respect and fear him, and all but Interitus' brood love him as well, for his honesty, selflessness, and protection, although his temper can be unpredictable, as can his lust.

Realm: As all the Regan gods, he lives in a silver city atop a divine mountain, called Aula Dei.

Rituals: dawn prayers, animal sacrifice (just a bit of thigh meat from the meal), libations of wine or ale, votive gifts like fine art. Wrestling and boxing matches in his name. He despises death fights for entertainment, though.

Holy Days: His high holy day is the festival of the New Year, held on the first day of spring, but each season has at least one holiday dedicated to him, and often to Caela as well, as weather has so many effects on daily life.

Commandments:

Turn Not Thy Anger on the Innocent

Rule with an Even Hand

With Law, Give Freedom

Shy Not From Conflict

Treat Each as they Deserve

No Mercy for the Unrepentant

Orders: Most militant orders in the successor states of Rega are dedicated to him, and there are many. His actual priesthood, however, is handled directly by the nobility and royalty, just as it was handled by the highest elected officials in the Regan Republic, then the Emperor later. His clerics are always of noble blood.
