#PathFinder Friday: Three Sisters (Morgravia)

These are a Pathfinder horror variation on the standard coven of hags from myth, supported by a boggard tribe. A few twists, watch the templates.:)

Long ago, the town of Redmondton was founded by a Lord of Orden, by the name of Jacques Redmond. Hailing from the southern city of Brinemarsh, he found the swampy area familiar and welcoming. He brought with him his three beautiful daughters, each more clever than the last. But he did not bring with him his wife, for she had died of a wasting disease the year before they made the journey. Many accompanied Sieur De Redmond, as he was called at the time, and the town was settled on the dry raised land north of the river, flanked to north and south by the fertile living swamp. The settlers fished, and hunted, and gathered rare herbs from the swamp, and grew a few crops on the dry land they had. Of course, they also traded with other communities both downriver and up.

They were prosperous, and happy. One day, a beautiful woman came to the town, dressed all in green. Her hair was like spun gold, her eyes the green of a deep forest pool, her skin as fair as whitest samite. A slight blush lay on her cheeks, and her lips were red as wine, as full as sweet grapes. Jacques fell madly in love with her...but the three sisters, Annette (the oldest), Millicent (the middle child), and Jenevieve (the youngest) misliked her, and did not trust her. Though they counseled their father against it, he asked her to marry...and she accepted. On the day of the wedding, the girls made a plan to stop the marriage. They spoke up, when the priest asked if any objected, and swore that the beautiful stranger had cast a spell on their father. To prove it, they doused their father with holy water from the church of Horus. The waters cleared his sight, and he saw the truth of the beautiful stranger...though no other ever learned it, for as he gasped in horror she drew a knife, and swift as a striking snake, stabbed him through the heart. As all who looked on stood, stunned, she turned to the sisters, and spoke, "For setting yourselves against me, for your pride and folly, for your insufferable goodness, I curse you. You will be crones, monsters. You will ever strive to destroy what once you tried to build. And your father will never rest, in this life or another. This fertile land, these waters, will become death instead of life. I bind this curse with his life's blood, given me willingly, though he knew not to what he agreed."

None saw what happened next, but the town still stands here, and the swamp still lives, so perhaps it is just a story.
