The musician and mage son of Shango, Yoruba God of Thunder, he helped his father become king of the people and in some stories king of the Gods.His music and dancing gave him power over storms that frightened his father's enemies.

In the World That Needs Heroes, he appears as a tall, strong, young dark skinned black African man, with tightly curled hair in locs.

He rarely wears anything like a costume, preferring to blend in to the communities in Nigeria that he frequents.
