The Anzu, a Sumerian Dragon
The anzu is a strange amalgam, with the front parts of a lion, the rear parts and wings of an eagle, but scaled all over. Its scales are oddly feathery, and penetrable to piercing attacks, though they need to be magical to have full effect. A child of Apsu ( or in Rega, born of the blood of Invidia, in Loria, a creation of Suh), it is a staunch opponent of the gods and of mortals.
