Domun Intro and Regional Map

It is said that the Ancients were great and mighty, even larger than the ogres. Their empire lasted many thousands of years, and they learned much lore and arcane science. But like all things, it could not last. They were betrayed by their own hubris, as the greatest of their mages, ever in search of more knowledge and power, opened up a portal to the Waters Below. Through that portal streamed the Uformori, the demons of the Aquatic Abyss. Led by their 7 Vile Chieftains, with dragons and their spawn as weapons, the demons overran the world of Domun. The Empire of the Ancients fell, and darkness reigned across the land.

Nearly a millennium later, mortal heroes rose, and through great sacrifice, sealed the 7 chieftains away from the world, and banished their forces. Mortalkind built their own nations. The ogres, last descendants of the ancients. Elves, dwarves, men, brownies.

But now . . . the servants of the Seven walk the world once more, and the lands between the few safe settlements are treacherous and corrupted. Demons roam. Dragons fly. Old ruins fill with monsters. Newer ruins teem with bandits and cultists. Holes tear themselves in reality. We know not what has caused this, but we will strive to survive, and hope against hope that the Seven themselves do not rise again, and wash away our world in a tide of blood.
