#Open Dnd ancestry: Skyloi, the Dog Folk.

I’ve seen tons of people ask for this, so here it is, free for everyone to use.

The Skyloi (Dogfolk)

Long ago, wolves made compact with humans and elves and others, and chose partnership over lives in the wild. Some were blessed by their gods, it is said, and given forms like those of humanoids, the better to partner with them. But they have not forgotten whence they came, and still protect their less intelligent, wilder, canine cousins. No Skylos bites...to bite is to be feral, and thus mad. If a Skylos fights, it is with weapons like any other cultured being.

Ability Score Increase. Increase one ability score by 2 and increase a different one by 1, or you increase three different scores by 1. Depending on the breed, common choices for increase might be Strength and Wisdom (for big hunters), Constitution and Wisdom (for corgis and other tunnel hunters), and so on.

Age. Skyloi reach maturity around seven years of age, and begin to show their years around 35 or so. Some can live as long as 49 years.

Alignment. Skyloi tend to be very lawful, and many are good, but can be any alignment.

Size. Skyloi come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Choose Medium or Small based on breed.

Speed. Skyloi are fast. You have a base walking speed of 35.

Keen Senses. You have proficiency in the Perception skill.

Loyal Companion: Skyloi are loyal to the death, to friends, loved ones, anyone they see as pack. They have advantage against any effect that would charm or frighten them while they are with their chosen companions, or that would cause them to turn against their allies.

Pack Tactics. You have advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the your allies is within 5 ft. of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Skylan.

Skyloi Breeds: (Note, that as mixed breeds are quite common, a Skylos can actually choose any two of these abilities.)

Greathound

Hunter's Instinct. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) rolls involving scent or hearing.

Powerful Build. You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Tunnelhunter

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

The Size of the Fight in the Dog: When you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can drop to 1 hit point instead. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

Greyrunner

Swift Stride. Your walking speed increases by 5 feet.

Sprinter. When you move on your turn in combat, you can double your speed until the end of the turn. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.
