Rawhead, also known as Rawhead-and-Bloody-Bones, was a nursery boggle, a monster invoked to frighten children into behaving. Some said it lived in the ocean, or a marsh, or an old marl-pit, and would get children who went too close. Others believed it lived in hidden compartments under the stairs, where it sat on the bones of naughty children, and would get the ones that spied on it, that lied, or used bad language.

This version is a horrific, skinless ogre, with great gnashing fangs, and a member of the Fomor. It will gladly snatch anyone it can...but it does prefer innocent flesh.
