#DnD Bonus Monster: the Zumrud Anqa

The zumrud anqa is an enormous bird, even bigger than the roc. It possesses the wisdom of ages, and a direct connection to the divine. It is unaligned because it does not choose sides in the world, instead deferring to the ineffable wisdom of the gods, and letting mortals tend their own affairs. Some mortals seek out its wisdom and knowledge of the worlds, above, below, and between. It appears to be a gargantuan peacock, mostly emerald green in color, but with tail feathers wreathed in rainbow fire. It feeds upon whales and elephants as well as other similar large creatures. It is also called the konrul, and is found in Arabic and Turkic myth, possibly predating the roc.
