Vampire the Requiem: Bloodline Bachae, the Handmaids of Dionysus

The Bachae

Dangerous female vampires of the cult of Dionysus, their history is ancient indeed. Some say their founders (there were several) were all directly chosen by the gods, to be his Maenads.

Parent Clan: Gangrel

Nicknames: Maneaters, Ecstatics

Covenant: Almost always Crone, and followers of Dionysus to boot. This often has them being seen as heretics even by the local crone, due their veneration of a male deity.

Appearance: They generally look wild, and unkempt. They have little concern for the appearances Kindred and Kine both foster. They might even forget to celan the blood off of their face and hands.

Haven: Usually hidden, underground temples or caves under a forest grove where they live communally, and often sleep for the day in piles, as wolves might.

Background: The Bachae are usually embraced from the ranks of staunch feminists. They are all, without exception, women. This includes trans women. Many of them were revolutionaries or in other ways opposed to the cisheteronormative patriarchal society we live in. A large number of them, if not most, are pagan worshippers of Dionysus before the Embrace, as most Maenads embrace from within their own cult.

Character Creation: The Bachae value the social and physical almost as much, but have little time for niceties. This means they tend to favor Physical attributes first, followed by Social,  with mentals tertiary. This is the same for their skills as well, though they invariably sport high Occult skills.

Bloodline Disciplines: Animalism, Protean, Resilience, Celerity

Weakness: In addition to the standard Gangrel weakness, The Bachae must ingest blood bearing organs, like the heart, liver or spleen, to get their vitae. They can still be blood bound and vitae addicted and receive full sustenance from vampiric vitae…which makes them far more likely to end up as diablerists.

This obviously makes maintaining a high humanity far more difficult.
